Muhammad Arief Roseli, Software Engineer & Agentic AI

Muhammad Arief Roseli

Software Engineer & Agentic AI · React · Next.js · TypeScript

Open to opportunities

I am a software engineer who practices agentic engineering: AI agents carry the implementation, and the judgment stays mine. I work from the command line, delegating scaffolding, migrations, API integration, tests and documentation to sub-agents that run in parallel, while I own the architecture, review every diff, and keep authentication, permissions, payments and destructive operations behind human approval. That practice has delivered maritime SaaS, an HR and payroll platform, and marketplace products. It also runs SnapInvois, a WhatsApp-native invoicing platform I founded and operate as sole engineer, live with more than a dozen businesses and shipping to production several times a week.

Shipline

I built my workflow into a tool, so the discipline is not optional.

Agents fail in three predictable ways. They write before they understand the codebase, they report success they never verified, and they repeat a mistake next session because nothing recorded it. Shipline is a set of commands that puts a written plan, pasted evidence and a persistent lessons file in the way of each one. Plain markdown in the repo, no external service.

Six phases, three stops

  1. 01PlanStops here: I approve it
  2. 02Build
  3. 03Verify
  4. 04TestStops here: I run the script
  5. 05Retro
  6. 06DeliverStops here: I permit the commit

Four documents, or it is not done

plan.md
Ordered steps, acceptance criteria, risks, and what is out of scope.
testscript.md
Numbered cases I run by hand. The agent does not grade its own work.
retro.md
The actual error, the actual fix, and the command that proved it.
runbook.md
Cold-start instructions for someone who has never opened the repo.

Speed is only worth having if it is safe. Every repository carries a standing context file of past mistakes so no session can reintroduce them, every change is verified with type-checking, tests and a production build, and I read every diff before it merges.

What that discipline catches, including a payroll parity bug and an agent fix I reverted the same day, is written up with real diffs on the AI work page.

How I run agents on production code

The prompt I left for whoever takes over

Sep 29, 2026 · 6 min read

I handed over systems I had run alone. The dangerous first week is not the one with no documentation, it is the one where someone acts confidently on a stale mental model. Here is the prompt I left, with the specifics stripped out so you can use it.
